video scorecard | video highlights

4 – A dominant victory at Chelmsford saw England clinch the series win against Pakistan. England have raised the trophy in all four bilateral ODI series the teams have contested:

  • ENG 2-0 PAK in England, 2013
  • ENG 3-0 PAK in England, 2016
  • ENG 2-0 PAK in Malaysia, 2019 (1 no result)
  • ENG 2-0 PAK in England, 2024 (1 no result)

15 – England remain unbeaten in all fifteen fixtures they have played against Pakistan in the format (13 wins, 2 no results), their most successful such run against any opposition.

302 – England’s total was the highest they have scored in an ODI since 2022, and the highest ever made in the format at Chelmsford:

  • 302/5 England v Pakistan, 2024
  • 273/8 England v South Africa, 2003
  • 259/6 England v Australia, 2009

7 – England have now won all seven ODIs they have played at the County Ground. This is their most wins without defeat at any ODI venue:

  • 7 – County Ground, Chelmsford (2000-2024)
  • 6 – Nykobing Mors Cricket Club (1989-1999)
  • 4 – R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo (2005-16)
  • 4 – Sportpark Koninklijke HFC, Haarlem (1991)

124* – Player of the match, Nat Sciver-Brunt made her ninth ODI century. Sciver-Brunt’s score was the highest made in a women’s ODI at Chelmsford, beating Sarah Taylor’s 120 against Australia in 2009.

Only Meg Lanning (8) has made more scores of 120+ runs than Sciver-Brunt (6) in the format.

9 – Sciver-Brunt now has the joint most centuries by an English woman in ODIs, and the third most overall:

  • 15 Meg Lanning AUS (102 innings)
  • 13 Suzie Bates NZ (154)
  • 9 Nat Sciver-Brunt ENG (94); Chamari Athapaththu SL (101); Tammy Beaumont ENG (105); Charlotte Edwards ENG (180)

4 – The most remarkable aspect of Sciver-Brunt’s career tally is that all nine of her centuries have been made from #4 or lower in the batting order. No other woman has scored more than five career centuries from this low in the order:

  • 9 Nat Sciver-Brunt ENG (94 innings)
  • 5 Harmanpreet Kaur IND (110)
  • 3 Sophie Devine NZ (89)

37.5% – Sciver-Brunt has contributed 23.1% of all the centuries scored by women from this position in the history of the format (9 out of 39), and 37.5% of those made since she debuted in July 2013 (9 out of 24).

46.72 & 95.81 – The reason for Sciver-Brunt’s unprecedented rate of middle order centuries is her combination of a high average with an exceptional strike rate. Sciver-Brunt (46.72 & 95.81) is one of just two women in ODI history to combine a carer batting average of 40+ runs per dismissal with a career strike rate of 90+ runs scored per hundred balls faced. The other is Meg Lanning (53.51 & 92.20).

234 – Sciver-Brunt’s runs combined with some well paced contributions from Danni Wyatt (44 off 42), Alice Capsey (39* off 42) and Amy Jones (27 off 27) meant that England’s innings featured the joint second most runs ever contributed by batters from #4 or lower in a women’s ODI innings:

  • 236 South Africa v Pakistan at Karachi, 2023
  • 234 India v England at Canterbury, 2022
  • 234 England v Pakistan at Chelmsford, 2024
  • 233 England v Pakistan at Leicester, 2017

3 – This was the third innings in women’s ODIs overall, and the first by England, to feature three 50+ run stands for the 4th wicket or lower:

  • 4th wicket – Nat Sciver-Brunt & Danni Wyatt 79
  • 5th wicket – Nat Sciver-Brunt & Amy Jones 66
  • 6th wicket – Nat Sciver Brunt & Alice Capsey 87*

87* – Sciver-Brunt and Capsey’s partnership was England’s third highest 6th wicket partnership in the format.

& 2-11 – In the 2nd innings, Sciver-Brunt then took two wickets (5-1-11-2) to go with her runs. This was the second time in her ODI career that Sciver-Brunt has both scored a century and taken two wickets in the same match. The only other English woman to achieve this all-round feat on any occasion was Enid Bakewell, during the deciding match of the inaugural World Cup:

  • Enid Bakewell 118 & 2-28 v AUS at Edgbaston, 1973
  • Nat Sciver-Brunt 109* & 2-68 v AUS at Hamilton, 2022
  • Nat Sciver-Brunt 124* & 2-11 v PAK at Chelmsford, 2024

101 – Player of the series, Sophie Ecclestone (4.1-1-15-3) became the fastest woman to take 100 ODI wickets, breaking a record that had stood since 2003:

Innings bowled

  • 63 Sophie Ecclestone (ENG)
  • 64 Cathryn Fitzpatrick (AUS)
  • 66 Megan Schutt (AUS)
  • 67 Jess Jonassen (AUS)
  • 68 Shabnim Ismail (SA)

The previous best by an England women’s bowler was Isa Guha’s 80 innings.

25 – At 25 years 23 days, Ecclestone was the fourth youngest bowler to bring up three figures in women’s ODIs:

  • 23y 153d Stafanie Taylor (WI)
  • 23y 277d Dane van Niekerk (SA)
  • 25y 21d SunĂ© Luus (SA)
  • 25y 23d Sophie Ecclestone (ENG)

251 – Ecclestone was also the eighth woman, and the second from England, to reach the 250 mark in all formats. With many years of playing still ahead of her, it seems highly likely that Ecclestone will challenge the top of the list in the not too distant future:

  • 355 Jhulan Goswami (IND)
  • 335 Katherine Sciver-Brunt (ENG)
  • 330 Ellyse Perry (AUS)
  • 317 Shabnim Ismail (SA)
  • 305 Anisa Mohammed (WI)
  • 268 Megan Schutt (AUS)
  • 253 Stafanie Taylor (WI)
  • 251 Sophie Ecclestone (ENG)

178 – England’s victory margin was their biggest in terms of runs in an ODI since beating New Zealand by 203 runs at Canterbury in September 2021.
